Business Development Manager required to drive expansion for a growing company that provides solutions for environmental and humanitarian issues using satellite technology.

As a Business Development manager your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain a sales strategy to support business plan revenue targets and a sales process;
  • Create leads and capture sales opportunities by working closely with Marketing department to raise awareness of our solutions and measure the effectiveness;
  • Grow revenues year by year by maintaining strong relationships with existing clients ensuring that they receive excellent customer service, maximise retention and leveraging your unique knowledge of their needs;
  • Understand corporate social responsibility (CSR) and how it applied to industry
  • Identify changes in the market dynamics and adjust sales strategy accordingly;
  • Attend conferences and workshops, deliver presentations, and represent the company to generate interest and leads;
  • Support the Marketing department in the creation of sales collateral and other documentation supporting the sales process.

As a Business Development Manager, you will have:

  • Experience of bespoke solutions, and the ability to deliver appropriate solutions to customer needs;
  • Previous business development experience with evidence of enhanced performance through growth and profitability; #
  • Experience in preparing business plans, forecasts and executing strategy;
  • High impact – be a fluent presenter with an engaging and compelling style;
  • Committed, hardworking, creative thinker with a fascination for data and how it can be used to inform decision making
  • Excellent communication skills together with a proven ability for public speaking;
  • Ability to influence key decision makers and to challenge when necessary;
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and use own initiative;
  • Be excited at the prospect of making a positive change in the world;
  • Ideally have previous experience in the environmental, marine life, seafood, fishery or satellite data industry.
