Production / Plant Operator

Production / Plant Operator needed to join a leading international company, focused primarily on healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical devices with the mission of creating a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. 18 months contract based in Harwell Science Campus, Didcot.

As Production / Plant Operator you will have to: 

  • Operate the plant according to documented procedures and work practices as directed by the Plant Manager and in conjunction with the scheduler and Production Support Manager in response to customer demands
  • Perform tasks within the maintenance schedule including fault-finding and repair of plant and equipment
  • Set up and perform real-time wear measurement activations in conjunction with the Production Support Manager
  • Provide assistance with semiconductor processing
  • Complete relevant production paperwork, performance data and maintenance records, to also complete relevant electronics records as required e.g. IFS information
  • Initiate C.A.P.A. reports as required, ensuring that the Production Support Manager is informed
  • Be a classified radiation worker

To be considered for Production / Plant Operator you will need to: 

  • Have previous experience in all aspects of operation and maintenance
  • Have a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • Have good knowledge and experience of electrical systems and electrical work
  • Have willingness to work in a radiation environment and a degree of flexibility in relation to working hours

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Working with external contractors
  • Extensive experience of all aspects of operation and maintenance including:

-       Accelerator Plant

-       Vacuum systems

-       Ion sources

-       Ionising radiation safety
